Surveys. MUTU invites customers to complete structured health outcome surveys about pelvic and core health symptoms, wellbeing and demographics, at intervals over time. Taking part is voluntary and is not required to use MUTU services. The first survey you complete asks for your explicit consent before any health question, and consent is renewed if you re-enrol. If you do not consent, the survey ends and no health data is collected. Later surveys in the series are covered by that consent. Your consent covers one area of scientific research: women’s pelvic, core and related health outcomes. Legal basis: explicit consent, UK GDPR Article 9(2)(a).
Responses collected before August 2026 carry no name, email address or identifier of any kind. They are anonymous, cannot be linked to you, and are used in aggregate only.
From August 2026, responses are connected over time by an internal reference number, so your answers can be read as one journey without revealing who you are. Your account details stay in our CRM, which never receives your survey answers; only the reference number links the two, and that key never leaves MUTU. The survey dataset holds your answers, coded demographics and any referring organisation, and never your name, email address or phone number.
We use this data to measure outcomes over time, for scientific research including peer-reviewed publication, for benchmarking of women’s pelvic and core health outcomes, and to develop and validate population-level measures of women’s pelvic health.
With your explicit consent, pseudonymised survey data may be shared with selected research partners: academic and clinical research institutions, health systems and services, and accredited health data research platforms. Extracts contain only a reference number, referral source and the answers themselves. Every recipient is contractually bound to use the data solely for the approved purpose, never to attempt re-identification, and to apply security no less protective than our own. Findings are published in aggregate only; individual responses never are. We never sell survey data and never share it for advertising or marketing.
Community content. Posts you write in MUTU’s member community are shared with other members according to the visibility setting you choose for each post. We analyse this content de-identified and in aggregate, to understand what members need and to inform the same research. Names, email addresses and profile links are removed before any analysis and each author is replaced by a one-way code that cannot be reversed. Direct messages are never included, and posts you have marked private to yourself are excluded. Legal basis: legitimate interests and, for health-related content, Article 9(2)(e) UK GDPR, which covers personal data you have manifestly made public.
Withdrawal. You may withdraw research consent, or object to the community analysis, at any time by contacting [email protected]. On withdrawal, the record linked to your reference number is deleted. Neither affects your access to MUTU services.
