Do you ever feel like you get to end of the year and pluck a last minute resolution out of thin air, just because you feel you should? But you know where that’s headed. These promises we make to ourselves are forgotten or abandoned within weeks or even days. Because, well, life gets in the way. And other stuff takes priority.
You’ve spent years prioritising other things without even giving little ol’ you a look in. I have a New Year’s resolution that I keep on rolling year in year out … try it!
Put *you* at the top of your to do list.
“What about my kids? My family? Work?” I hear you cry!
Are they fed? Watered? Safe? Then they are all good.
It’s so easy to ‘run out of time’ or ‘not find the time’. Trust me. I wish there were more hours in the day too BUT there isn’t so we must take time for ourselves.
You must start believing that your self-care is integral to your wellbeing and ability to do what you do in the world. I’m guessing you’re a big deal in your house. You make sure everyone has everything they need, and you keep them fed, warm, safe, entertained… or at least, well, ALIVE.
To sustain this for a long period of time, you’re gonna need to be well in body and mind. And this means looking after yourself TODAY and every day forward.
No more feeling like you don’t have time or that you aren’t worthy of that time. You are TOO important not to prioritise and your health and wellbeing needs to be looked after just as much as anyone else.
