What is it?

Incontinence is when you leak urine (a little or a lot) during physical or everyday activity. If you leak pee when sneezing or coughing, this is ‘stress incontinence’. If you experience a sudden and uncontrollable urge to pee, this is called ‘urge incontinence’.

What is it? 

Diastasis recti, AKA Divarication of the Recti, DRA or Rectus Divarication, is the widening of the gap between the 2 sections of the Rectus Abdominis abdominal muscle. The split occurs at the Linea Alba, the midline collagen structures of connective tissue at the front of the abdomen.

What is it? 

Pelvic organ prolapse or POP is when 1 or more of the organs in the pelvis descend from their normal position and bulge into the vagina. 

It feels like a heaviness or dragging sensation in your pelvic floor, or you may have trouble fully emptying when going to the bathroom. You may have been diagnosed by a medical professional as having POP. When diagnosed by vaginal examination, the prevalence of prolapse is 50% of all women4, so it’s very common.

What is it? 

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, lifting your baby from the crib or your toddler from the floor, wrangling car seats, high chairs and strollers, carrying a child on one hip, heavy groceries from the car… the list of why Moms’ backs hurt is long and hard to avoid,

  • Back pain is the most talked-about result of using MUTU amongst our members and many credit just 3 weeks of the program with banishing back pain completely.

What is it? 

Painful sex (dyspareunia) is a common but neglected and underreported problem for women. Only around 8% of women report painful sex3 but this is unsurprisingly considered to be an underestimate. 

Our clinical trial of 100 women asked if participants avoided sex due to pain or discomfort, and 18% said they did.

MUTU Evidence:

  • Of the respondents in our clinical trial who said they experienced pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse 61% had seen an improvement by Week 3 on the programme, and 93% had seen an improvement by 9-12 weeks1
  • A 2018 clinical survey2 of 900 women showed that 89% of women who experienced pain or discomfort during or after sexual intercourse reported an improvement after doing MUTU System

What is it? 

It has been proven that the physical changes a woman experiences after having children can impact her mental health4 Postnatal depression, PTSD following traumatic birth and mental health concerns can happen to anyone. 

Urinary incontinence doubles the risk of postnatal depression. We know that pelvic health affects mental health and MUTU is proven to improve symptoms. As a mother of 4 and a postpartum doula…

As a mother of 4 and a postpartum doula I highly recommend MUTU for postpartum recovery whether you’re 6 weeks or 30 years post. I also wish I would have started with my previous pregnancies but I’m so glad I joined after my fourth! I have seen improvements in my pelvic floor and core strength while also getting a great workout in.

Some of the negative reviews I’ve seen have mentioned you do the same four 10 minute routines over and over. That isn’t true. You start with walking everyday and core 1 at first then the program builds to add intensive 1. Over time you have the choice of doing core 1,2,3 & 4 (around 10 minutes each) as well as intensives 1,2,3 & 4 (around 23 minutes each). You can mix it up to keep variety if you like but it’s important to do them progressively to build your strength.

This isn’t a high intensity workout/calorie reduction “get your body back” gimmick. This is a solid educational program teaching proper alignment, real food nutrition, functional movement, pelvic engagement and core strength. If you follow it you will see results. It might seem repetitive at first but that’s for a reason – to integrate the information and stimulate muscle memory.

You also get extra content called masterclasses and support from both MUTU Pros and members of the program. The website, content and production value is amazing – especially for the price point.

You wont regret getting this!!!

I can’t recommend this program enough! I spent ages searching for the best postnatal program and wish I had found this one sooner! It is extremely comprehensive, I truly feel I have learnt so much in just a few weeks about my whole body and feel 100 times better about myself too ? MUTU mumas uses a holistic approach so you are not only healing your diasitis recti and strengthening your pelvic floor in the correct way, but also getting fit and healthy, and learning about posture etc to be able to make every day long lasting life changes to benefit you. The workouts are really greatly designed (talking as a keen HIIT workout girl) as they are high intensity so get my heart rate up but also are low impact so safe for my DR and ensured my pelvic floor didn’t get any worse whilst recovering. I love the structure of the program as it gives you motivation to tick off each day as you go. I have found so much support, guidance and encouragement on my journey with MUTU mumas. It really is for everyone and I strongly feel it should be accessible for every woman after she has given birth. I am thankful for the changes I have seen so far and looking forward to more!
